Description

Bela Bartok Signed Contract. One page, dated February 17, 1942 on Columbia Records letterhead, signed by Bartok in black ink. During this period the famed Hungarian composer/pianist, still considered one of the 20th century's greatest, was stricken by a debilitating illness, unable to use his hands much of this time. Three years after this contract was signed, he died from leukemia. Very Fine condition. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
