Description

Grateful Dead 1969 Fillmore Auditorium "Crimson Madness" Handbill Graded 8.5 (AOR-4.57). A terrific-looking original red & black concert flyer advertising the Grateful Dead playing at the "New/Old Fillmore," meaning the original auditorium at Fillmore & Geary Streets, on Friday and Saturday nights, November 7 & 8, 1969. The graphic artist is credited as Cab Covay, and he should definitely take a bow.

Opening acts were the So. Bay Experimental Flash, Alligator and Crimson Madness, according to CGC's grading strip. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 8 1/2" x 11" and has been graded to 8.5 Very Fine Plus by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company). From the Tim Backstrom Grateful Dead Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
