Five Oversize Pictures of Boris Karloff. This ultra-rare assortment of 11" x 14" pictures showcase Karloff in his masterful makeups, including a copy of a candid from Frankenstein (on the set, with "the Monster" being made up by Jack Pierce); an original portrait of the test makeup as Morgan from The Old Dark House (with photographer Freulich's credit stamped en verso); an original study of Boris as General Fang in West of Shanghai; and two original portraits of Karloff as Dr. Gaudet in Devil's Island (both with photographer Schuyler Crail's credit stamped en verso). The Frankenstein shot has considerable surface damage and is a bit fuzzy in its reproduction; The Old Dark House has some border chipping; other originals are in Excellent condition.
