Description

A Collection of Rocks and Minerals, 1950s-1970s. Over 100 pieces; found, bought, and/or collected by Wayne for most of his adult life; a varied and colorful assortment including rocks, minerals, crystals, copper, marble, coral, and other organic materials; a few specimens have typed labels indicating where the piece was from; included is a 1970 book titled "Prospecting for Gemstones and Minerals" with a photocopied letter folded inside written by Wayne -- dated "June 6, 1967," it reads in part "...I am sorry to say that at this time I have / no interest in acquiring additional rocks / as I already have more than I have room / for..." (Please note some of these pieces are fragile and chipped and have sustained damage over the years.)
