A Small Liberty Bell Replica, 1969. Made of cast iron, mounted to a wooden base, placard on front notes piece was cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London, placard on back reads "May our Nation offer 'Liberty and Justice' / as long as you shall ring. / John Wayne;" accompanied by a group of paperwork from 1969 relating to Wayne's order of this piece, including the form where he handwrote in blue ballpoint ink his above quote which appears on this bell. Also included are two unrelated awards: both in the shape of miniature Liberty Bells, the first one from the U.S. Savings Bond Program, 1967; the second one from Mayor Frank L. Rizzo [of Philadelphia, PA], 1979; included is a reprinted color image showing the bell in situ in Wayne's Newport Beach office.
