The Carpenters 1974 "Top of the World" Frankfurt, Germany Concert Poster. An original large advertising poster for brother-sister act Karen and Richard Carpenter appearing in Frankfurt, Germany for one show on Sunday evening, February 10, 1974. The Carps were as hot as hot could be at this point... yes, their most recent single was "Top of the World," which had gone to #1, so a good song to put on the poster. They had snared three straight Top 10 hits just before that, "Goodbye to Love," "Sing" and "Yesterday Once More," and would soon follow "Top" with "I Won't Last a Day Without You," "Please Mr. Postman" and "Only Yesterday." They were a hit-making machine non-parallel.

Note: Many European concert posters were "knocked off," or reproduced, at a later date to be sold in stores and such. This is an absolute pre-show first printing of this poster.

Measures approx. 23" x 33" and grades to Very Good condition. Poster is in excellent shape with very little wear, with only the lightest bit of surface handling, save for one thing: All four corners have sizeable pieces of masking tape on the verso, which bleed through and result in light staining on the front.
