Bob Dylan +17 Others 1963-64 Marquee-Style Concert Flyer from New York City. An unusual one-sided concert handout / handbill / flyer printed in late summer 1963 promoting upcoming concerts in the folk-music vein from promoter Harold Leventhal. Acts include Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Peter, Paul & Mary. This tall, thin flyer is blank on the back.

Leventhal was quite the impresario back in the day, managing and promoting folk music throughout New York City. He was the one responsible for putting on Bob Dylan's first major concert in April 1963 at Town Hall (see separate handbill this auction).

Here, Leventhal presented a list of his upcoming shows over the next half-year and a couple of wannabe shows as well, but it was never too early to get the word out. At the top of the list was his biggest booking commercially; the red-hot Peter, Paul & Mary at Carnegie Hall on September 28, 1963. Following them by a month at Carnegie was Bob Dylan himself on October 26. Both PP&M and Dylan were managed, not coincidentally, by Albert Grossman.

The entire second half of the listings take place in the spring of 1964, and include Joan Baez at a "place to be announced."
