Elton John Madman Across the Water RIAA 'Gold' Sales Award. Vintage white matte 'gold' sales award for the 1971 Elton John album Madman Across the Water, produced by Gus Dudgeon, containing the iconic track "Tiny Dancer". The album was certified gold by the RIAA in 1972. The 12" disc award with plaque reading "Presented to / Gus Dudgeon / To Commemorate the Sale of More Than / One Million Dollars Worth of the / Uni Records / Long-Playing Record Album / "Madman Across the Water". Measuring 17.5" x 21.5", framed and glazed. Provenance: Acquired directly from the estate of Gus Dudgeon, producer on this album to whom this award is presented. Exhibits minor handling wear to the frame including chips and scratches, "New York Frame & Picture Co." sticker on the verso. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
