New York Stories / "Life Without Zoe" (Touchstone, 1989), Shooting Script and Related Production Archive. Original New York Stories / "Life Without Zoe" studio-bound and bradded 46-page shooting script dated June 1, 1988, with "Original Story and Screenplay by Francis Coppola and Sofia Coppola" on the title page, including 100+ additional pages of production documents. Archive includes producer's agreement, shooting budget, master shooting, editing and screening schedule copy, music clearances with handwritten notes on song considerations, end title credit notes with changes in pencil attributed to Francis Ford Coppola, and additional documents related to credit negotiations. Francis Ford Coppola directed one of the three segments in this omnibus film, each helmed by one of New York's most celebrated directors. "Life Without Zoe", the third segment, was a love letter and creative collaboration between Coppola and his daughter Sofia Coppola, who co-wrote the script, starred in the film, and would go on to become an acclaimed and Oscar-winning filmmaker in her own right. This archive reflects Fred Roos' involvement in the film's production and behind-the-scenes negotiations. Exhibits edge wear and minor tearing with a large stain at the bottom of the shooting script's cover. The poster is for reference only and is not included with this lot.
