Rocky III (MGM/UA, 1982), Sylvester Stallone "Rocky Balboa" Pair of Tuf-Wear Boxing Gloves. Original pair of red leather Tuf-Wear boxing gloves padded with a canvas inner lining, trimmed with white leather, and finished with white shoelace closures. Both contain the standard Tuf-Wear brand sewn-on patch on the topsides and remain in production-made condition, with palm-sides stamped "RM 10". Rocky III was the triumphant third installment of the franchise that turned the titular character into a folkloric hero, and saw old adversaries Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) team up to train against newcomer Clubber Lang (Mr. T). Gloves are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Tuf-Wear issued July 24, 1982 and stipulating these gloves as used in the filming of Rocky III, as well as an original press kit letter distributed to the original recipient of these gloves which stipulates, "For the premiere you will find enclosed some Tuf-Wear Red Leather Fight Gloves from the set." Exhibit some signs of production wear and age, including spots of cracked and rubbed leather and some red makeup marks. Come with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
