Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount, 1966-1969), Matt Jefferies Group of Original Concept Sketches from Episode "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky". Vintage original group of (3) concept sketches accomplished in color and brown felt-tip by Matt Jefferies on 11" x 8.5" artist's leaf for Season 3, Episode 8, "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky", including (1) depicting the exterior of the asteroid ship Yonada showing the cylindrical transportations columns where the crewmen of the Enterprise first encounter the Fabrini, labeled "SURFACE - INNER CORE ASTEROID SPACE SHIP", (1) depicting the corridor beneath the surface of the asteroid that leads to the Oracle Room, labeled "CORRIDOR TO ORACLE RM", and (1) depicting the interior of the Oracle Room including cross-section views of the altar labeled "ALTER / ORACLE ROOM". Each contains the corresponding production code "065" for the episode in which Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley) falls in love with the Fabrini High Priestess, Natira (Kate Woodeville). With 2-signed by Jefferies in felt-tip and with versos containing numerical notations "59", "60", and "52" respectively. Exhibits some signs of handling and age, including foxing and some stains on verso. Provenance: Surface sketch, Profiles in History, "The Star Trek Auction", December 2, 2001, Lot #172.
