KISS 1973 Hotel Diplomat, New York City Concert Handbill. An original yellow-paper concert flyer advertising a "Rock & Roll Ball" at the Hotel Diplomat in New York City on Friday, July 13, 1973 featuring KISS before they had a record deal, The Brats and Planets, all for just $3.00. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, without a booking agent or manager yet, booked the Diplomat themselves for some of their earliest New York dates well before the release of their first album in February 1974. They started recording that album three months after this gig, for Neil Bogart's Casablanca Records. Measures 8 1/2" x 10 7/8" and grades to Near Mint condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: The Hotel Diplomat had presented jazz greats in the 60's such as Miles Davis, heavy metal with Detroit's MC5 in the late 60's and glam with the New York Dolls in 1972, among countless other acts.

Condition details: Has only one ¾" horizontal crease in the extreme lower left corner area, visible only when you look hard for it.
