Etta James, Jerry Butler, The Dells, Moonglows 1960 Chicago, IL Jumbo Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising a clutch of R&B hit-makers playing at the hallowed Regal Theatre in Chicago, IL for a week beginning Friday, March 25, 1960.

The entertainment was billed as the "Rock 'N Roll Jamboree of 1960" and hosted by the locally famous air personality and promoter, Al Benson. The line-up included Etta James, who logged a dozen Top 10 R&B hits in her career; Jerry Butler, who accumulated 17 such successes; Harvey & the Moonglows, who also logged 17 Top 10 R&B's; The Dells, with 11; Big Maybelle, who had three; The Spaniels, who had a pair; and Wade Flemons (misspelled on the poster) who had one. Measures 22" x 28" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: This remains the only specimen of this poster that Heritage has ever seen. This exact poster was sold by us back in July 2021, and that buyer has decided to consign much of his collection to Heritage here in spring 2024.

Condition details: Has two bumped corners, scraping along the left edge, soiling in various spots and a ¾" tear in the left center area.
