Description

The Animals "The Beatles' Buddies" 1964 Nashville, TN Jumbo Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising The Animals before Eric Burdon's name was singled out, but very much handling all the vocals, appearing at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN on Thursday, October 8, 1964 - the year of the British Invasion.

Terrific and rare one-off poster with some amazing bells and whistles... how can you not love "The Beatles Buddies" as a marketing angle? Great photo of the group in the center, and then the cherry on the cake... the #1 hit on both sides of the Atlantic, "The House of the Rising Sun," in a pink circle by their photo. "I'm Crying" on the other side was their latest 45 at the time of this show, and also went into Billboard's Top 20. Measures 21 3/4" x 28" and grades to Very Good condition. Repaired by Chameleon Restoration. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: This remains the only specimen of this poster that Heritage has ever seen. This exact poster was sold by us back in July 2022, and that buyer has decided to consign much of his collection to Heritage here in Spring 2024.

Condition details: Poster had original damage in places which has been carefully addressed by Chameleon Restoration, including minor tears, dirt & grime and slight color loss in a couple of places. It now presents fully repaired, evenly and with solid bones, also retaining all of its 1964 British-invasion magic.
