Grateful Dead 1980 Radio City Music Hall, New York City Concert Poster. An original concert poster for the Grateful Dead playing at one of The Big Apple's most famous venues from Wednesday, October 22, 1980 through to Halloween - eight nights in all. Unlike the warm reception the San Francisco version of this poster had received in the weeks prior, New York City turned up its nose at this version and its sale was prohibited. Compare it to the S.F. version that Heritage has auctioned recently... they're fun to compare. The Art of Rock book published only the Warfield version, however, so this Radio City version is not eligible for grading.

This poster has been heavily reproduced, but this is an absolute first printing done before the engagement started. This specimen, the first one Heritage has offered in 11 years, measures 21 1/4" x 27 1/4" and grades to Near Mint condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: This poster, printed on flexible card stock, has only a couple of ‘finger dents' on or near the right edge, as any sign of possible wear. Otherwise the semi-glossy surface is remarkably free of any scuffing, surface creases, etc. Corners are sharp, and it presents like new.
