    Description
Blind Faith (Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood) 1969 Santa Barbara, CA Concert Poster Graded 9.8 (AOR-3.42). An original pre-show, first-printing concert poster from Santa Barbara, California on Blind Faith's one & only tour in the summer of 1969. The venue was the Earl Warren Showgrounds and the date was Saturday night, August 16, 1969 - the same time the Woodstock festival was taking place back east.Has "Pacific Printing" credit in the bottom right area. This off-the-beaten-path 60's gem measures 17 ½" x 22 ½" and was graded a heavenly 9.8 Near Mint/Mint by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company), the highest grade Heritage has ever offered on this poster (all previous HA offerings were 9.6's). COA from Heritage Auctions.
More Information: Also on the bill were Delaney & Bonnie & Friends (whom Clapton also played with) and British rock band Free, a year before "All Right Now." Even lower-billed than them were Zaphyr, Fields and Rabbit McKay and the Somis Rhythm Band. That's six acts altogether... no wonder the poster states that it was a Blind Faith "Festival"! Interesting how no start time is given... but with six acts, it must've started sometime in the afternoon.
A lot of people forget that Blind Faith conducted much of their tour without their album out yet. For this stop in Santa Barbara, the self-titled debut had been released only one week prior.
Features godlike psychedelic artwork by local artist Frank Bettencourt.
