Description

Nirvana 1989 Bleach Era Tour Listing Minneapolis, MN Concert Handbill. Even though this is heavily torn around the edges, this is an amazing document from Nirvana's 1989 summer tour. This is a paper calendar of gigs at the Uptown Bar in Minneapolis, MN in July. On the sixth day, Nirvana came through as they toured behind their brand new album Bleach (which was released only the month before) with lead guitarist Jason Everman in tow.

According to the Letter of Provenance provided by the owner of this lot, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was too ill to sing and play, so he only sang. (Everman, who paid for - and was never paid back - for the Bleach sessions did not play on the album, but he toured with the band to bulk up their thick guitar sound.) For this show, Nirvana had Dharma Burns as their opening act.

Framed to an overall 14 3/4" x 10 7/8" and adhered to backing, this is in Fair condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Has several tears and spots of loss throughout, along with soiling and toning.
