Description

Ten Years After 1970 Baltimore, MD Jumbo Day-Glo Concert Poster. An original cardstock window card advertising England's Ten Years After with Alvin Lee, plus Cactus, performing at the Civic Center in Baltimore, Maryland on Sunday night, July 19, 1970. A nice, large, unusual concert poster that you never see, with a unique design used just for this poster. The yellow Day-Glo florescent ink turns to green under a purple blacklight.

Ten Years After was white-hot after being featured in the Woodstock movie which hit movie theaters that spring. The song "I'm Going Home" left audiences spellbound for upwards of 10 minutes in the movie, and TYA was suddenly a mainstream act. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 22" x 28" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: This poster, made of flexible cardstock, has lots of foxing spots, including the left margin with the most at the bottom; the top margin, with the most in the upper right; the right margin, extending about halfway down; and in the yellow around the band's name, although it's less visible there. There are two staple holes in each corner. There are surface creases breaking color in the "N" of "Ten," "ER" of "Center" and down in the lower right circle & flower artwork. The verso shows a poster-long vertical crease over on the board's left side, but that crease is mostly lost on the front amongst the artwork. The verso's upper right corner also has a small number written in pen.
