The Animals 1964 Norfolk, VA British-Invasion Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising England's The Animals, with Eric Burdon on lead vocals, appearing at the Norfolk Auditorium in Virginia for two shows on Wednesday evening, September 23, 1964. This was the year of the British Invasion, and the Animals greatly helped the cause with their all-important electric version of "House of the Rising Sun," the #1 hit in the country for three weeks in August.

"The Animals is Coming" maybe follow some English-language stylebooks but is humorously off-base in retrospect. Love the red spot color on this one. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 14" x 21 3/4" and grades to restored Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Chameleon Restoration addressed a few edge and corner issues, touching up any printing or color where necessary, mending pinholes, eradicating surface blemishes and greatly reducing any creasing it might have had. The result is a fully satisfying piece with little evidence of past damage, including once being quarter-folded.
