SIZE u DOES /u MATTER WITH A BEAUTY LIKE THIS

BG-105 Jimi Hendrix Large Limited-Edition "Flying Eyeball" Serigraph Signed by Rick Griffin. An enormous, super-high-quality strike of the Bill Graham San Francisco concert poster known as BG-105, for the Jimi Hendrix Experience live at San Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland Ballroom in February 1968. This was completely authorized and sanctioned by the legendary San Francisco poster artist Rick Griffin, who stylistically signed each of the prints individually in the lower-right margin.

Five hundred of these were made a third of a century ago, and each one is individually numbered and embossed in the lower left; this one is #471/500. It was printed on super-thick, 100% acid-free rag stock by Arelannes Studios, in cooperation with ArtRock and Rick Griffin, shortly before the artist's premature death in August 1991. (Griffin chose to leave the ticket-buying information off this classy limited edition, since that part was just clerically typeset on the original poster.)

A magnificent beast of concert-poster artwork that stuns everybody who comes across it, especially when framed. If you have never seen one of these in person, we cannot overstate how imposing it is. It's a common lament among collectors today that they didn't grab one originally at the opening price. Measures 28" x 41" and grades to Near Mint condition. From the David Swartz Concert Poster Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Has only one softest, most mild possible diagonal barely-there crease in the lower right corner, far away from the artwork or Rick's signature. Mentioned only for completeness.
