Grateful Dead (Misspelled), Great Society 1966 "Peace Rock 3" Berkeley, CA Concert Handbill. An original orange-paper flyer advertising the third in a series of benefits for the Vietnam Peace Day Committee at UC Berkeley on Saturday night, May 7, 1966. The Grateful Dead, celebrating drummer Bill Kreutzmann's 20th birthday, get the big center spotlight but were misspelled "Greatful" (shades of FD-22). Joining them were the Great Society with Grace Slick and the Charlatans. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 8 1/2" x 11" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. More Information: Notice the couple of references to the Charlatans' "The Seed" poster, which was less than a year old at this time. And we love the official little printer's union bug right above "Romero." The artwork is credited to just "Fraser" (above the "EY" in "Berkeley").

Condition details: The flyer's verso has a tape lift in each corner plus one at the bottom center.
