Description

BG-79 Cream (Eric Clapton) 1967 Fillmore Auditorium Concert Poster Graded 9.8. First-printing San Francisco concert poster for England's Cream (w/Eric Clapton), the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and the South Side Sound System (the latter two from Chicago) playing at the Fillmore Auditorium for an unusual six-night stand running Tuesday thru Sunday, August 22-27, 1967. This engagement found the British power trio still touring off Fresh Cream, months away from the release of their second album Disraeli Gears. As for Butterfield's outfit, they were touring off their Elektra album East-West, which many consider their best work.

Designed by Bonnie MacLean and known as BG-79 in the Bill Graham numbered series, this specimen has been graded an electrifying 9.8 Near Mint/Mint by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company). Measures 14" x 21". COA from Heritage Auctions.
