Description

John Malkovich "Mitch Leary" screen-used composite gun from In the Line of Fire. (Columbia, 1993) In the Clint Eastwood action picture In the Line of Fire, "Mitch Leary" (John Malkcovich) builds this unforgettable 6.5 x 4 in. custom dual-barrel composite pistol as an assassination weapon to kill the President of the United States. Consisting of 3 main pieces (handle, barrel and body) of cast resin with a screw bolt that slides through the back of the body to secure the pieces together. In the film, the firing version of this weapon was cut into pieces following production, to render it inoperable as required by The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. This is the highly visible hero "assembling" version of the gun that is built onscreen by Malkovich. With some signs of discoloration to resin and production-wear. In very good condition. Comes with an LOA from the family of Frank Rousseau, the gun's designer and creator.
