Filming miniature "Police Ship" for the TV pilot Micronauts. (ca. 1989) Original ILM model with internal electronics, lights, and stand clamp mount designed by ILM FX art director John Bell. Accompanied by a vintage technical sketch of the craft, hand-drawn on vintage Lucas Film letterhead by model maker Steve Gawley an ILM modelmaker since the first Star Wars film. This model measures approx. 16 x 9 x 8 in. and is constructed of high-density polyurethane foam and plastic, painted yellow, with the siding hand-scored to appear as exterior paneling. Interior circuitry and lights visible. Studio-distressed to show age. In very good condition. Electronics untested. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
