Jim Varney "Ernest P. Worrell" signature character costume. (ca. 1982-1998) This signature costume was worn by Jim Varney as his endearing character "Ernest P. Worrell" who began in a series of national commercials, moved on to a TV series and ultimately starred in feature films for over a decade. The (6)-piece costume includes (1) pair of faded denim blue-jeans, (2) medium gray cotton pullover shirts 1-long-sleeve, 1-short-sleeve, (1) blue denim Wrangler brand vest, (1) pair of black slip-on shoes and (1) khaki baseball style cap. This costume was the bread and butter trademark of the off-beat comedian and actor who created a beloved character that became a familiar figure in pop culture. Comes with an LOA from creator/writer/director John R. Cherry III stating this is the only complete "Ernest" costume from his collection ever to be offered. In very fine condition.
