Starfleet Mark X Medical Tricorder from DS9 & Voyager 1488. Hero Illuminating Starfleet Mark X Medical Tricorder with Removable Hand Scanner from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Voyager. (Paramount-TV, 1993-99, 1995-2001) Hero illuminating Starfleet Mark X Medical Tricorder designed by Steve Horch and Michael Moore with electronics by Prop'er Effects. It is constructed of vacuum-formed plastic with small printed labels to look like buttons and displays. The prop comes to life when opened with an impressive display of LED lights. The hand scanner device nests in a slot on the underside and features blinking LED lights when a small switch is pressed. Used in the third season of Voyager and the fifth season of Deep Space Nine, it was distressed by Michael Moore for its last use in the fourth season of Voyager for the episode "Living Witness." In the episode the lights were disabled for filming by removing the batteries which have since been reinstalled.
