Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Hero Hatchet from The Walking Dead (AMC 2010-2022, Seasons 6-9). Original Hero hatchet featuring a black coated 1055 carbon steel head with a 1" polished silver edge and a straight grain wooden handle, measuring 16" x 5.25" x 1". Studio-modified from a Cold Steel Axe Gang Hatchet, the bottom of the handle has been shortened, and the crossed hatchet laser engravings on either side of the head have been filled in with a black coating. A nod to the original comic book origins of the series, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) begins carrying his signature hatchet in Season 6, where it becomes as synonymous with his character as his trusted Colt Python revolver. Rarely leaving the former sheriff's side, it is featured heavily until Rick's series departure in Season 9 including Season 6, Episode 9, "No Way Out," when he takes on a horde of Walkers and rallies the citizens of Alexandria to win back their community. In Season 7, Episode 1, "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be," the axe is used against Rick by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to harass and torture him to the brink of sanity, and in Season 9, Episode 5, "What Comes After," Rick makes his final stand against a horde of Walkers as they encroach on the communities he worked so hard to build from the ground up. Exhibits production wear and age, including oxidation across the steel components and scuffing along the handle. Comes with a COA from AMC and Heritage Auctions.
