Description
Imperial Scout Trooper Blaster from the Collection of Art Director James Schoppe with LOA from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (TCF, 1983). Original prop BlasTech EC-17 blaster weapon used by an Imperial Scout Trooper (a.k.a. Biker Scout) in the Moon of Endor sequences. This compact blaster, featuring an integral targeting scope, was designed by Art Director James Schoppe and is crafted of resin and metal components painted black. Measures 7.25" x 4.25" x 3". Included with the blaster are original production documents including an original copy of a map of Redwood locations "First Location Plot Plan - Bunker Site" and "Second Location Plot Plan - Forest" and an original production copy of a Western Union Telex/TWX dated 10/19/81 from James Bloom to Richard Marquand about the creature shop, weapons, and costumes, as well as details about the Imperial Biker Scouts and their holsters and weapons, (in part): "Re: Imperial Biker in Boards 59 and 60. The U.S. Costume and Art Departments will be responsible for the boot holster. Re: The Weapon; first Norman will choose a practical weapon that is available from Stembridge Guns in L.A. Then that weapon will be doubled by Sussex Armoury in U.K. Norman will provide greblies [sic] that will be attached both to the practical Stembridge weapon and the Sussex Armoury mock duplicate." Blaster exhibits production wear with scuffing to paint on sides and top of weapon with .25" loss of resin on single side. Comes with signed LOA by James Schoppe.
