Imperial Shuttle Tydirium Small-Scale Filming Miniature from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (TCF, 1983). Original Imperial shuttle miniature created by the artists at Industrial Light & Magic for use in motion-control shots during the making of the film. Meticulously crafted of resin and painted in shade of gray, the small-scale miniature measures 1" x 1" x .75" and is mounted on a 2.25" heavy-gauge wire inserted on the port side of the craft. Imperial Shuttle Tydirium was captured by the Rebel Alliance and used by Hans Solo (Harrison Ford) and his strike team to infiltrate the forest moon of Endor and deactivate the deflector shield protecting still-under-construction Death Star. This miniature was presented to ILM model maker Kirk R. Amidano by ILM Model Shop supervisor Lorne Peterson and comes with an LOA by Amidano. Included is a cylindrical 4.75" x 4" display case with plaque featuring etched logo of the film. Provenance: Profiles in History Hollywood Auction #36, May 1, 2009, Lot 827.
