Star Wars AT-ST Driver First Shot Figure AFA 80 ** POP 4 Highest Grade ** (Kenner, 1984). The Star Wars AT-ST Driver Painted First Shot figure, released by Kenner in 1984, is a rare pre-production piece from the Return of the Jedi toy line, offering insight into Kenner's development process. Unlike most first shot prototypes, which were typically unpainted or molded in test colors, this version was fully hand painted, making it an uncommon find. Designed to complement the AT-ST Scout Walker vehicle, the figure features the AT-ST Driver's distinctive Imperial uniform and helmet, enhancing the authenticity of Endor battle scenes. Used for internal quality control and approval, painted first shots are significantly rarer than their unpainted counterparts, with only a limited number produced before mass production. This figure also has no Country of Origin (COO) markings, a characteristic of first shots. This loose vintage figure is encased in acrylic and graded AFA 80 NM. Additionally, an official certificate of authenticity from AFA is included. Of the six graded examples, only four have received a grade of 80, with no other examples grading higher.
