The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Anne Baxter "Nefretiri" Bell Necklace. Vintage necklace crafted from metal and plastic and measuring approx. 13" in diameter. Nefretiri (Anne Baxter) memorably wears the necklace during the sequence where Moses (Charlton Heston) returns after conquering Ethiopia. Worn over a white and gold gown, the ornate necklace mirrors her similarly colored crown. This dynamic red and gold accented accessory features several design elements taken directly from Egyptian iconography. The gold bell motif that surrounds the various gold and red layers was significant in Egyptian culture and often used as a decorative element in jewelry. Necklace exhibits production wear, oxidation on the gold bells, tarnishing, bent components, and (9) missing bell accents on upper left side of necklace. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
