Samson and Delilah (Paramount, 1949), Pair of Concept Artworks. Vintage pair of unsigned concept artworks by art directors Hans Dreier and Walter Tyler rendered on art board and each measuring 15" x 20" including (1) "Fall of Dagon" storyboard sequence rendered in ink on vellum and showcasing (6) panels (approx. 6.75" x 5") secured by tape and (1) "Fall of Dagon" pair of frame enlargements rendered in mixed media and showcasing (2) photos (approx. 11.5" x 8.75") for the optical effects work. The storyboard sequence contains text in graphic underneath the sketches explaining each shot. Both artworks reflect the unique ways the art department would plan the shooting of special effects sequences. The dynamic storyboard sequence contains text in graphite underneath the sketches dictating the required action. Artworks exhibit production wear, toning, staining, and edge wear. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
