Reap the Wild Wind (Paramount, 1942), Dan Sayre Groesbeck Group of (4) Concept Artworks. Vintage group of (4) concept artworks by Dan Sayre Groesbeck (1878-1950) rendered in gouache, charcoal, collage, and graphite on art board including (1) "Tentacled Grasp" painting measuring 20" x 15.75", (1) "Divers and Squid" painting measuring 25.25" x 22.25" (1) "Ship at Night" painting, signed by the artist, measuring 21.5" x 16.5", and (1) "Trident Battle" painting measuring 21" x 16.25". Groesbeck had worked as an in-house artist for the Chicago Tribune before he was chosen by DeMille as his go-to concept artist. DeMille: The Art of the Hollywood Epic. Artworks exhibit production wear and exhibition wear including staining, paint chipping, and paint loss from matting.
