Star Trek Beyond (Paramount, 2016), Idris Elba "Krall" Production Made Costume on Display. Original signature Krall (Idris Elba) (9) piece costume made of polyurethane including (1) full body jumpsuit, (2) gauntlets, (2) foam display hands from original glove mold, (2) greaves, and (2) boots. This signature ensemble resembles the one used throughout the film by Idris Elba's character, Krall. Balthazar Edison (Elba) was once the captain of the USS Franklin, a pre-federation Starfleet vessel. His ship and crew crashed on the remote planet of Altamid, where they were never rescued. Utilizing alien technology found on the planet, Edison was able to extend his own life by draining the life force of others. This process altered his appearance into this character seen throughout the film. The costume was meticulously crafted by the studio that created it for the blockbuster Star Trek Beyond. Costume components have been applied to a custom display figure resembling actor Idris Elba, standing 78" tall on a 40" x 34" x 6" wooden base with a black acrylic cover.
