Friday the 13th (New Line, 2009), Derek Mears "Jason Voorhees" Stunt Machete. Original stunt machete prop from the 2009 reboot of the popular Friday the 13th franchise. The prop is constructed of a dense rubber blade over a metal armature for rigidity, expertly painted to appear as an oxidized and heavily "used" metal weapon. The short handle is composed of a 2-piece wooden grip that sandwiches the tang of the blade and is dressed with fabric and distressed to appear grisly. The entire prop measures 36" x 3.25" at the widest. Exhibiting handling and wear, with breaching beginning to a portion toward the tip of the blade. Provenance: Originally from Platinum Dunes productions. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
