The unique swirled color patterns of the color case hardening on the revolver photo-matches an image of Russell taken on the set of the film. The owner acquired this revolver 15 years ago from a member of the film production and it has never been on public display or placed at auction. Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with some thinning to relief edges, handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Vibrant case colors remaining. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action functions, but needs adjustment. Moderately pitted bore. Special shipping arrangements via a federal firearms licensed dealer will apply. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
