Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) Signature Ensemble from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019). Original (5) piece character ensemble including (1) dark green-gray waxed canvas doublet with lace front closure and stud embellishment throughout, (1) dark green-gray waxed canvas sleeveless cloak with a floor-length draped front, a panel hanging off the back collar, and heavy distressing throughout, (1) brown molded leather breastplate with Kraken sigil at the center of the front chest, metal panel strap details, and attached leather belt (with "Yara Double" bias label), (1) pair of brown leather trousers with lace-front closure and moleskin panels on the lower legs (with "Yara Double" bias label), and (1) green-gray open-weave shirt with lacing at the neckline. Worn by Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) throughout the series. Gemma Whelan described Yara's armor as a symbol of her character's strength and resilience. She said, "Yara is an old-fashioned lady warrior with a mission".?? Costume designer Michele Clapton explained, "Yara's armor was designed to be practical and robust, reflecting the harsh, maritime environment of the Iron Islands. We used leather and metal elements to create a look that was both fierce and functional." Ensemble exhibits production wear including distressing scuffing and soiling.
