Bobby "Blue" Bland 1966 Albuquerque, NM Boxing-Style Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising R&B great Bobby "Blue" Bland performing at the Civic Auditorium in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday night, June 24, 1966. Vi Campbell, The Malibus, Emmett Davis and the Soul Brothers were part of his revue. Bland was right in the middle of four straight Top 10 R&B hits at this moment, but anyone who knows his track record won't be surprised at that. His new one this month was "Good Time Charlie," which rose to #6 in Billboard. Measures 16" x 24 3/8" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Board has two pinholes at the top center (above "D") and one at bottom center (below "St."). In the lower right corner margin area, there are 10 letters (ending in "Ticket") scrawled lightly in black pen. On the plus side, it's hardly ever that we see a vintage board like this with zero creases whatsoever, but this appears to be the case... it's just as smooth as can be. The four corners are solid (if lightly touched). General toning throughout. The light black smearing in "Auditorium" is considered a printer's anomaly, not damage.
