Casanova (ABC TV, 1987), Faye Dunaway "Madame D'Urfe" and Richard Chamberlain "Giacomo Casanova" Group of (7) Costume Pieces. Original (7) piece group of 18th century costumes including (1) sack-back gown with purple chiffon layered over gold chiffon, featuring gold lamé tasseled belt, gold-toned piping, zodiac and occult symbol embroidery, and chiffon over silver metallic embroidered tulle bell sleeves with gold lamé and tulle bows at the wrists. Also including (1) highly-detailed cream, gold, and silver jacquard cropped coat adorned with gold gimp filigree trim, rhinestone embellishments, and wide satin cuffs and (1) cream satin tricorn hat with gold gimp trim, pearl embellishments, and a feather and wire plume. The jacket and hat each have a Bermans and Nathans bias label typed "Faye Dunaway, 5670 cost. 2., Casanova." The men's costume includes (1) long frock coat made of dark purple and rich red patterned jacquard trimmed in navy velvet with a rounded neckline, horizontal red braid trim down the front closure with woven buttons, and 3-red trim tassels on each front flap pockets, (1) matching 2-toned navy and red velvet waistcoat with 2-long panels in the front and cropped back and silver-button front closure, (1) matching velvet breeches with button closure, and (1) white cotton V-neck shirt with lace ruffles at the wrists. Madame D'Urfe (Faye Dunaway) and Giacomo Casanova (Richard Chamberlain) wear these ensembles throughout the film featuring romantic escapades of the title character. Displays production wear and age that includes some small fabric tearing and fraying and some soiling on the men's shirt. Obtained from Angels Costumiers. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
