Description

L.A. Law (NBC TV, 1986-1994), Custom "LA LAW" California License Plate. Original formed metal license plate with a glossed painted finish measuring 12.25" x 6.25" and reading, "CALIFORNIA / LA LAW / The Golden State," in block read, blue, and yellow lettering. Made for production, these personalized plates appeared in the opening credits for every episode of the eight season legal drama and had registration stickers corresponding to the year each season was released. For the first seven seasons, they were affixed to a Jaguar XJ Series III and for the final season, a 1993 Bentley Continental R. Plate. Since this plate is missing registration stickers, it was likely an extra made for the opening sequence that ultimately did not appear in the famous credit sequence. Exhibits light age and wear with a slight bend on the right side and minor paint chipping. Obtained from 20th Century Fox Television. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
