Description

Joni Mitchell For the Roses White Matte RIAA Gold LP Sales Award Presented To Asylum Records (Asylum, 1972). Joni's fifth studio album, which includes the single, "You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio." Although the hit was written as a mocking response to the record company's request for a radio-friendly song, it became Mitchell's first top 40 she's released. According to the plaque under the gold disc, this award was "Presented To Asylum Records To Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Dollars Worth of the Asylum Records Long-Playing Record Album 'For the Roses'." Framed to an overall 17 ½" x 21 ½". In Very Good condition, light moisture stains near the bottom of the matte, while the frame shows minimal age wear. COA from Heritage Auctions.
