Description

Respirator used in Episode, "The Squire of Gothos" of Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount TV, 1966-1969). Vintage original respirator mask prop constructed of repurposed oxygen facemask cup and chin port with aluminum ampule affixed at chin and metal panels pinned to each side of the mask. The mask is held to the wearer by an elastic strap. Seen when Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelly) and two crewmen beam down to planet Gothos expecting an inhospitable atmosphere. The 7" x 3" x 2.5" mask exhibits age, production wear and some scratching and paint rubbing. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Greg Jein.
