It's Howdy Doody Time: A 40-Year Celebration (NBC TV, 1987), Buffalo Bob Smith Signature Western Costume Ensemble. Original (3) piece bespoke costume made by Fiddler's Costume for a Western-style ensemble worn by Buffalo Bob Smith, consisting of (1) Western-style brown tunic with crème-colored yoke collar and cuffs, lace-up V-neck with mocha-colored leather fringe at yoke and back of sleeves, with large buffalo applique to back of yoke, and with yellow bejeweled embellishments to trim outline, (1) pair of matching rust-brown colored pants with fringe down outer seams, and (1) brown leather belt with brass horse belt buckle made by Award Design Medals, Inc. This ensemble was made for and is visible as worn by the host/co-creator of The Howdy Doody Show, Buffalo Bob Smith, for the show's 40th anniversary special, It's Howdy Doody Time: A 40-Year Celebration, a two-hour syndicated TV special produced by WUHF radio in Rochester, NY and which featured Smith in addition to original series regulars including Clarabell the Clown (Lew Anderson), J. Cornelius Cobb (Robert Nicholson), and Chief Thunderthud (Bill LeCornec). Exhibiting very mild production handling and wear from age and comes accompanied by an LOA from Robin Smith, Bob Smith's son.
