Vintage original hand-pulled silkscreened poster measuring 36" x 54" and designed by renowned Disney artist Bjorn Aronson. Tom Sawyer Island, an artificial island nestled in the Rivers of America at Disneyland, offers an immersive experience into the world of Mark Twain's classic novels. Accessible only by raft, it features caves and adventures reminiscent of Tom and Huck Finn's escapades. Opening in 1956, this attraction holds the special distinction of being the only one personally designed by Walt Disney. Walt, deeply connected to Twain's creations, reshaped the island's design himself, adding inlets, coves, and the distinctive landscape known by park fans to this very day. The poster captures both Twain's and Disney's spirit of adventure with vibrant colors and stylistic vignettes of the island's main attractions including Fort Wilderness and the Old Mill. Displays edge and corner wear with instances creasing, a few minor scuffs, and light ink smudging around the black title lettering. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
