Description

Gordon Lightfoot Personally Owned Briefcase With Miscellaneous Items. How unbelievable it is to be able to offer these personal goodies from the man himself? It's unprecedented indeed and a once in a lifetime opportunity. This is a real inside look into the life of an icon. This briefcase features contents that Gordon read, touched, worked on and kept. A real gem that is pure to the faithful as well as a piece of music history.

A medium-sized business briefcase personally owned by Gordon Lightfoot. Including two snap locks, there is also an interior pocket that is a quarter full of loose change and other various items.

Some of the items (circa the 1970s to the 2000s) include a church bulletin, agreements, guitar pics, set list, originals and copies of signed contracts including a television contract, commercial sheet music for "For Lovin' Me" by Peter, Paul and Mary, Olympic team benefit concert reception, promo photos, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario invitation, Toledo Free Press "Big Fitz," a signed letter from the Prime Minister. Premier Ministre's office dated January 27th, 1978, personalized Admirals club luggage tag, a signed letter from Judy Collins, and many other personal items.

The briefcase itself is covered in stickers and stage passes with many spots of wear and tear due to usage, but it is still intact. Dramatically cool Gordon Lightfoot's place in music history cannot be overstated. He led a seismic shift in the way music is written, translated and performed. I do not know of another way to get a piece of this icon. Be sure and add this historic musical gem to the collection. Comes with a photo match from the Lightfoot estate. COA from Heritage Auctions.
