Description

Hero B-9 Robot "Feet" with Treads from Lost in Space (CBS, 1965-1968). Vintage original trapezoidal boot-like "feet" from the mechanical eighth member of the Jupiter 2 crew. Each "foot" is constructed of metal frame with two sets of four pulleys for the rubber treads, narrow on the inside and wider to the outside. The top of each foot retains the two mounting hinges and rubber bellows where they would be attached to the leg portion. The legs were initially intended to move but were bolted together to prevent the actor inside from being hurt. The feet were painted white for the subsequent production Mystery Island (1977-78). Paint is rubbed and pitted. All rubber components are hardened and cracking. Each foot measures approximately 24" x 22" x 12". Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
