The Beatles Original Toy Banjo (Mastro Industries USA, 1964). Rare example manufactured from 1964-66 by Mastro Industries in New York. This four-stringed instrument with nice graphics includes original strings and tuning pegs on a gold headstock. Offered here is nice displayable example. The banjo shows minor wear, marks and some scuffing. The round gold rim has a minor crack at the top where the screw is attached but still holds together. Overall Very Good Plus condition. The promo ad and the instructions are copies.

The banjo instrument has a very cool connection to John Lennon since his mother Julia taught him how to play "That'll Be the Day" by Buddy Holly on a banjo. Finding these instruments in this condition is not easy which makes them extremely collectible. Get yours here. COA from Heritage Auctions.
