Billie Holiday 1930's Large Autograph and Concert Ticket.
Two related items in this lot: A 6" x 8" piece of brown paper with several autographs from Artie Shaw's band of the late 30's, including lead singer Billie Holiday; and an unused concert ticket dated August 7, 1938 for Artie Shaw and his Orchestra near Niagara Falls, New York.

It's a dynamic two-piece lot for Billie Holiday fans that harkens back to the late 1930's, which many feel was her absolute creative peak. Framed up with a photo of Lady Day, these items would look outrageous. Billie's signature is large and bold compared to most of the men, almost six inches across, exuding strength and confidence. This was before she got involved with serious drugs. The matching concert ticket measures 2.5" x 4". Both are in Very Good Plus condition. LOA from PSA/DNA. COA from Heritage Auctions.
