Description
Space Patrol Premium Adventure Lot (Ralston, 1950s). Suit up like a cadet from Commander Buzz Corry's Terra V with this broad assortment of cereal and mail-order exclusives, each showing honest play scuffs yet retaining full retro charm. Recon begins with twin lightweight binoculars-one in service green, one in black-accompanied by their own shrink-wrapped Ralston mailer box, a scarce survivor that displays only faint edge rub. A pocket green microscope, a mini green plastic ray pistol/water gun with free-moving trigger, and a green-and-yellow rocket-shaped pen (ink now dry) round out the desk-top science gear. Long-distance chatter comes via the yellow-and-blue Space-O-Phone set, complete with extra string and instruction sheet; housings bear moderate scuffing but no cracks. Cadets can decode secret orders using the metal rocket belt buckle with rotating cipher wheel, then illuminate night missions with the battery-powered Project-O-Scope Rocket flashlight-its bulb still lights and film strip projects, though the side decal has peeled away. Two additional Ralston Purina mailer boxes accompany the lot: one shrink-wrapped for preservation with mild staining and crease lines, the other unwrapped and showing heavy edge wear plus water spotting. Finishing touches include 4 original paper premiums-a Ralston Rocket cutaway, Space Helmet assembly sheet, membership card, and a "Name the Planet" contest pamphlet complete with ten plastic interplanetary coins-all gently yellowed but free of major tears. Together, these artifacts recreate a full 1950s Space Patrol play pattern, delivering rare premiums, display-worthy packaging, and period ephemera in a single launch-ready collection.
