Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) First Costume from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019, Season 1). Original character costume including (1) dusty-rose linen draped dress with low back and double-knotted rope straps that hang over the shoulder. This is the first costume worn by Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) in Season 1, Episode 1, "Winter is Coming," when she is preparing to marry Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) in Pentos. Costume designer Michele Clapton made Daenerys's first dress nondescript to make it "nearly impossible to imagine the woman that she will become" by the series' end. Clapton wanted Dany's costumes to reflect her transformation from "powerless outcast" to "fearsome tyrant," with each outfit representing a stage in this evolution. This first costume symbolizes her "powerless" phase, as she is dressed by her brother Viserys (Harry Lloyd) to be displayed as an object and tradable commodity for his personal gain. Exhibits production wear including some fading. Comes with a COA from HBO and Heritage Auctions.
